Viva Musica! is an annual classical music festival held in Bratislava and surrounding areas each summer. Established in 2005, by 2025 it reached its 21st edition with 15 concerts featuring over 200 international and Slovak performers 1. The festival showcases orchestral recitals, chamber concerts and special tributes – for example a series of masterclasses and a tribute to Slovak composer Eugen Suchoň. Once the stage for prestigious classical stars and ensembles, it offers visitors an immersive Slovak cultural experience through world-class music.
Set in historic Bratislava venues (the Slovak Radio concert hall, churches and palatial settings), Viva Musica! celebrates Central European musical heritage in a modern format. It highlights Slovakia’s musical contributions, often including local performers and pieces by Slovak composers, linking Bratislava’s cultural identity with global classical traditions.
