Dni Petržalky is the largest annual community festival of the Petržalka borough in Bratislava, held each June since the late 1990s. The four-day event features concerts spanning genres, sports, family activities and a prominent folklore night to honor regional traditions. In 2025 the first evening (June 19) focused on "Petržalské folklórne slávnosti" with traditional dance ensembles and folk songs 1. The festival creates a local identity around Petržalka’s heritage, bringing together residents of this large district. It is organized by local authorities with partner organizations and is open and free to all community members.
Petržalka is a vast residential area of Bratislava with its own distinct identity. "Dni Petržalky" was established to build community pride and cohesion. The event highlights local cultural groups (especially on the Folklórny slávnosti night), as well as contemporary music and entertainment. The folklore segment, featuring ensembles in traditional costume, nods to the historical roots of many Petržalka inhabitants (some from Rusyn and Slovak villages) and the borough’s evolving character.
