A late summer festival centered on Lendava's wine culture and multi-ethnic heritage. It includes themed evenings dedicated to different nationalities (Slovenian, Hungarian, Croatian, Serbian) with folk music and traditional dances on stage 1. The program highlights Lendava wineries (e.g. a Riesling tasting evening in the city park) and culminates in Lendava's grape harvest festival (Lendavska trgatev) 2.
Lendava is a bilingual town on the Hungarian border. Festival Vinarium reflects its mixed culture – the town’s famous Vinarium observation tower is a symbol of cross-border views. The festival connects wine-making (common in Prekmurje) and folk traditions of the Slovene and Hungarian (and other) communities in the region.
