A long-running festival celebrating the unique heritage of Vojvodina’s Rusyn minority. Held over a weekend in late June at the schoolyard of Petro Kuzmjak in the village of Ruski Krstur, it features competitions in traditional Rusyn songs and original compositions, as well as performances by local cultural societies and a popular children’s program. Visitors can experience authentic Rusyn music and dance in a community setting.
The Rusyns of Vojvodina maintain distinct Slavic traditions and language. This festival emphasizes their musical and folkloric heritage, with performances by Rusyn cultural societies (KUDs) from across the region. It reflects Austro-Hungarian and Romanian-era influences blended into modern Serbian Rusyn culture.
