A small summer celebration in Bukovo village (Boljevac) featuring Vlach folk music and dance groups 1. Held in the hamlet of Valakonja Bukovo, it gathers about fifteen local folklore ensembles performing traditional Vlach tunes and circle dances. Originally a village corn harvest event, it was rebranded around a local legend of Prince Marko’s stone 1.
Named after a legendary stone associated with Kraljević Marko, this event keeps alive the Vlach community’s performance heritage. Ensembles from Boljevac and neighboring areas participate, emphasizing indigenous costumes and language. 1 It is a grassroots festival, reflecting identity of Bukovo’s inhabitants and nearby villages.
