Ploiești City DaysZilele Municipiului Ploiești

Zilele Municipiului Ploiești is an annual mid-May festival established in 2005 to mark the city’s feast day (Constantine and Helena, May 21) 1. Over a weekend it features concerts and street fairs. In 2023 (May 19–21), municipal communications invited citizens to enjoy live music (from folk to pop-rock), street food markets, hands-on craft workshops, and performances by local theater and Philharmonic groups 2. Artists such as Ștefan Bănică Jr., Antonia, and What’s Up were headliners on the main stage 2.

Organized by city hall, the event promotes civic pride and tourism (Ploiești markets itself as the 'Youth Capital'). It highlights local cultural institutions (caragiale House, Philharmonic) and connects religious heritage with popular entertainment. The mix of modern and traditional acts reflects Ploiești’s identity as an emerging cultural center in Muntenia.
