A major annual folk festival and competition for children and youth held in Tulcea, showcasing traditional music and dance from Romania and around the world. Founded in 1993 by choreographer Stefan Coman, it grew into one of the country’s largest folklore events 1 2. Each summer junior ensembles parade through the town and perform nightly at the Civic Square stage (e.g. the 2025 edition was held 7-12 Aug in Tulcea) 2 1.
Roots in preserving folk traditions among young people. It connects Tulcea’s Danube Delta heritage with global cultures via the ‘Golden Fish’ symbol (a local folklore motif).
