SAIL Amsterdam is Europe’s largest free nautical festival held every five years in Amsterdam. It features tall sailing ships, museum vessels, and maritime exhibits along the IJ harbor, celebrating Amsterdam’s seafaring heritage 1. For five days in 2025 (20–24 August), ships, crews and visitors from around the world will gather to illuminate the past, present and future of maritime culture in the city 2.
