A popular two-day independent music festival in the woods of Hellendoorn, featuring rock, pop, hip-hop and dance music under the trees 1. Known for its intimate atmosphere, it combines national and local acts, as well as emerging artists. The festival includes art installations, food trucks and a relaxed camp vibe, drawing music fans from across the region.
Founded in 1987 by a consortium of student organizations, Dauwpop has become a fixture of the Dutch festival scene. The name is a play on 'Hemelvaart' (Ascension Day) and 'dauw' (dawn), since it originally began as an early morning event on Ascension Day. It embodies Overijssel’s modern music culture and love of outdoor festivals.
