The Saba Beer, Art and Music (BAM) Festival is a cross-island cultural event first held in January 2024 on St. Maarten to showcase local craft beer, visual arts, and music talent from Saba and Sint Maarten 1 2. Over two days, attendees enjoy craft beer tastings (including Saba’s Cloud Top Beer), art exhibits, workshops, and live steelpan, African-Kora, and band performances 3 4. The festival was created to promote Saba’s emerging craft brewery and arts community while fostering pride in island-made products and cultural creativity.
This festival highlights Saba’s cultural and economic creativity (e.g. new Saba Cloud Top beers) and the shared Dutch-Caribbean heritage of Saba and St. Maarten. It was organized by regional tourism and cultural agencies to strengthen community ties and support local artisans. Although physically on St. Maarten’s boardwalk, it is explicitly a Saba-centric event to boost the island’s (and SXM’s) local cultural economy.
