The Festa ta' Ženerožità is an annual charitable festivity held in support of Dar tal-Providenza, Malta’s main residential home for persons with disabilities. Organized each January 1st, the event features a solemn mass in the chapel and a day of festivities under a large tent in Sięęiewi 1. It celebrates the spirit of generosity (Ženerožità) in Maltese culture, with public fundraising concerts, a television broadcast of the mass, and a symbolic candle lighting. For visitors, it offers an intimate look at Maltese Catholic charity traditions and community solidarity.
Held at the Dar tal-Providenza complex near Sięęiewi, this modern festival underscores Maltese values of community care. It coincides with the Catholic Christmas octave and marks the anniversary of Archbishop Scicluna’s appeal supporting the home. The festival has become a staple of New Year's Day celebrations, reinforcing local cultural identity through its unique philanthropic focus.
