A regional folk music and dance festival held in the village of Bucuria (Cahul district) each August. The program includes authentic Southern Moldovan dances (hora, sârba, etc.) and a communal Hora circle dance 1. The festival is a showcase of local cultural heritage, uniting generations in celebration of village traditions.
Bucuria is part of Moldova’s south, where village horĂ and wedding dances and folk music are deeply rooted. The festival preserves regional customs (costumes and songs specific to Cahul area). It reinforces community bonds around shared traditions like the hora circle at local celebrations.
