Kuldīga Old Town FestivalKuldīgas Vecpilsētas svētki

An urban cultural festival celebrating Kuldīga’s historic center. Spanning two days in early July, it features multiple stages with live music (rock, jazz, classical), dance performances, art exhibitions and storytelling in UNESCO-listed old-town venues 1 2. Highlights include a night street ball (‘Vecpilsētas balle’) on Kalpaka Street with Latvian bands, alongside historical tours and children’s theatre.

Leverages Kuldīga’s rich medieval heritage (wooden buildings, brick bridges) to stage modern arts events. It bridges old and new by situating contemporary performances in historical squares and yards.
