S'Ardia de Santu Antinu is Sedilo’s famed July horse race in honor of St. Constantine. On July 6–7 each year, hundreds of local riders speed their horses in a fiery ritual, racing around the sanctuary for three laps. The festival includes religious ceremonies and community festivities during late June and July, culminating in two vitalized 'Ardia' runs that blend exhilaration with traditional reverence 1.
A unique Sardinian event, S'Ardia is one of the most spectacular folk festivals on the island. The entire town engages in preparations; it reflects a communal reenactment of Saint Constantine’s historic legend (said to have connections with local history).
