The Sancta Barbara Wooden Chapels Festival is a annual week-long summer event (early July) around Velika Gorica highlighting local wooden chapels and Baroque folk heritage 1. Concerts of classical and traditional music are held in historic wooden chapels across the region (Velika Mlaka, Brest Pokupski, etc.), as well as at the Modić-Bedeković manor 1 2. The 7th edition in 2025 (6-13 July) offers nightly performances (all free) and aims to promote the unique legacy of Turopolje’s wooden chapel architecture combined with music 1 2.
