A springtime festival (April 24–May 31) centered on 'Los Mayos,' charitable acts of singing and song contests in honor of the Virgin Mary. It features nightly groups ('Corremayos') parading the town, decorated crosses, folklore events and competitions. It is a Nationally-Recognized traditional festival showcasing Alhama’s piety and folklore.
This fiesta, dating back centuries and officially revived in 1982, honors the local tradition of singing to the Virgin Mary on May 13. Residents form teams to sing verse and decorate 'mayos' (corner shrines), reflecting the community’s Catholic devotion and rural heritage.
