Festival Actual is a multidisciplinary arts festival held each January in Logroño (35th edition in 2025). It showcases Spain’s avant-garde culture through music, film, theater and exhibitions, inaugurating the cultural year nationwide 1. Over five days (2-6 January 2025) more than 100 events occur across city venues, featuring national and local artists. Earlier editions have included acclaimed cinema premieres, contemporary dance and live concerts in renovated historical spaces. The festival emphasizes modernity and local creative talent, offering a curated program that blends emerging art forms with traditional media.
As a forward-looking cultural event, Actual highlights La Rioja's intellectual scene and its role in Spain’s arts. It provides a platform for local artists and for cross-cultural exchange. The festival fosters community identity by declaring Logroño an arts capital every January, engaging youth through new media and inclusive workshops.
