The Valga-Valka Twin City Festival (Valga-Valka linnapäevad) is an annual multi-day celebration for the Estonian town of Valga and Latvian town of Valka. Each June, street fairs, concerts, sports, and cultural events fill both towns on either side of the border. In 2025 over 5 days (June 11–15) residents enjoyed daily programs culminating in the ‘Borderless Party’ on June 13 at Ramsi Park 1. It showcases shared regional culture and history.
Valga and Valka consider themselves one community split by the Estonia-Latvia border. The festival highlights this cross-border unity: folk dances, choral music, and youth events are common. It reflects the mixed Estonian-Latvian heritage of the region and fosters bi-national cooperation.
