Alive Festival

Alive Festival is a three-day summer music and arts festival held each July in the Thy region of North Jutland 1. Originating with local music enthusiasts in 2009, Alive Festival was conceived to celebrate the arts and community in rural Thy. It has grown each year (8th edition in 2016 1 under the Thy Alive association. Featuring a mix of Danish and international acts on makeshift stages and in churches, it draws on Northern Jutland’s creative culture. The festival’s roots in community volunteering and the North Jutland landscape give it an authentic cultural flavor distinct from commercial events.
