A large-scale historical reenactment festival celebrating the Danube region's ancient heritage. Each summer, local communities and international historical groups gather at Roman-era sites to recreate ancient battles, ceremonies, and daily life. The festival is notable for its authentic costumes, Roman legion parades, gladiatorial games, and folk traditions. Visitors can immerse themselves in the region's past through interactive shows and exhibitions.
The festival honors the Danube frontier heritage of Bulgaria, held historically in Svishtov and since 2024 in Pleven Province. It brings together Bulgarian and international reconstruction groups to highlight Roman-era camps, Thracian rituals, and early medieval culture along the Danube. The timing coincides with local summer holidays around Pentecost (Sv. Duh).
