A small local harvest festival in Stammersdorf, Vienna (21st district). Held in early October, it features music, food and wine tastings along Stammersdorf’s Kellergasse (wine-cellar lane) 1. Named for the new wine (Sturm) of the season, it is opened by city officials in a ceremony each year.
Stammersdorf is a traditional Viennese wine village. The Stormy Days festival celebrates the first fermentation of the new wine (Sturm) and local Heuriger culture. It brings together district residents and winemakers in a pedestrianized alley, underscoring the winemaking heritage of this part of Vienna.
