Every September, the city of Graz is transformed into Austria’s "largest village square" for the Aufsteirern Festival 1 2. Rooted in Styrian folk culture, this annual folk festival features hundreds of musicians, dancers and craftsmen from across Styria, presenting traditional music (Volxmusik), dances and handicrafts 3 4. Food and drink stalls offer Styrian specialties (such as pumpkin seed oil products and local wines), and visitors often dress in Dirndl and Lederhosen, creating a vibrant celebration of regional identity 5 3.
