A long-running (decades-old) series of classical concerts held from spring through autumn in the Haberlandt-Saal of Schloss Kittsee 1 2. Led by Prof. Rudolf Buchmann, it celebrates native violinist Joseph Joachim’s heritage in the town. World-class chamber musicians from Vienna and Berlin frequently perform. This festival makes Kittsee an active cultural hub and connects locals with Europe’s classical tradition in an intimate, historic castle setting.
Kittsee has a rich musical history (Joachim’s birthplace). The Pannonian Forum was founded to honor that legacy. The baroque castle, nestled in a large park, provides a charming rural venue that highlights Burgenland’s Pannonian character. Each spring-to-fall season, local audiences gather for these concerts as part of town life 1.
